  7. Ladle the batter in the moulds and place the idli stand in the steamer..
  8. Steam for 10 minutes or till idlis are soft to touch without the batter being wet or soggy..
  9. Remove the idlis from the mould by using a blunt knife. Serve them hot/warm with your choice of condiments..
  10. Note: The batter can be fermented. In that case there is no need for addition of Eno. Just keep the batter after blending it in a warm place for 8 hours..
